Me thinks Poco would countrify the songs more with their playing skills...probably overdo them but the Eagles would add more to Poco's...just a thoughtAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13506025273109966409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4641235490427905929.post-56869675741004838662016-10-20T08:36:04.465-07:002016-10-20T08:36:04.465-07:00You're right! You're right! sshhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04239247617264868360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4641235490427905929.post-13568974977416522142016-10-18T21:17:55.894-07:002016-10-18T21:17:55.894-07:00Just FYI..........Glenn's eyes were not brown....Just FYI..........Glenn's eyes were not brown...they were blue!<br />Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10259402755187839157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4641235490427905929.post-76330848600774419992014-01-28T06:09:29.164-08:002014-01-28T06:09:29.164-08:00Hi Topkat,

If it makes you feel better, remember that I never saw the Eagles live in their heyday either – could have gone in 1994 but I was interested in other things and missed them. I don't think this means that I’m not qualified to have an opinion and express it though. I’m just seeing things from a different perspective. It’s ok if you disagree with me. That’s your prerogative. You were lucky to get to see them so many times. I think I said in two earlier blogs (http://sshh-sshh.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/some-called-it-country-some-called-it.html and http://sshh-sshh.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/schmitten-part-two-sweet-talking-guy_25.html) (and didn’t even realise I’d repeated myself) that I believed Poco were the prototype for the Eagles so we do agree about something. Appreciate hearing your views. They sold out every show I saw & they played in NYC a lot. I don't see how you can even begin to speculate on this topic without ever even seeing this band. I believe the bottom line is that Poco was poorly managed, & that was the reason they never made it huge. For that idiot of a manger to tell them not to do Woodstock because it was going to rain & nobody would show up, was only one of the poor decisions made by their management. Poco was the prototype for the Eagles & I believe they have even admitted that to some extent. Don't forget Poco was formed in 1968, the Eagles didn't come along until '71. It was a combination of many things, but when Poco opened at the Troubador, they were the talk of LA, & slotted as the next big thing, I think if Jim Messina had stayed longer, it would have happened, but that's just my opinion. I never saw them with Jim, but he went on to huge success with Kenny Loggins with Loggins & Messina.Topkathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15025417129582866785noreply@blogger.com
